چکیده

Abstract Waste tire rubber is commonly recycled by blending with other polymers. However, the mechanical properties of these blends were poor due to lack adhesion between matrix and waste rubber. In this research, use electron beam irradiation (3-Aminopropyl)triethoxy silane (APTES) on enhancing performance 50 wt% reclaimed (RTR) blend poly(ethylene-co-vinyl acetate) (EVA) was investigated. Preparation RTR/EVA carried out in internal mixer. The then exposed (EB) at doses ranging from 200 kGy. APTES loading varied 1 10 wt%. processing, morphological, mechanical, calorimetric stabilization torque total mixing energy higher compatibilized blends. Mechanical improved efficiency further reclaiming RTR compatibilizing dispersion embedded smaller particles EVA crosslinking Calorimetric studies showed increased crystallinity which corresponds properties. ductility decreased interaction APTES. Presence induced shown through gel content analysis Charlesby-Pinner equation.

New Green Polymeric Composites Based on Hemp and Natural Rubber Processed by Electron Beam Irradiation

A new polymeric composite based on natural rubber reinforced with hemp has been processed by electron beam irradiation and characterized by several methods. The mechanical characteristics: gel fraction, crosslink density, water uptake, swelling parameters, and FTIR of natural rubber/hemp fiber composites have been investigated as a function of the hemp content and absorbed dose. Physical and me...

Enhanced Controlled Transdermal Delivery of Mexazolam Using Ethylene-vinyl Acetate

Repeated oral administration of mexazolam, an anti-anxiety agent, may cause adverse effects such as gastric disturbance, drowsiness, and ataxia due to transiently high blood levels. Transdermal administration would avoid the systemic side effects and gastric disorders after oral administration. We have developed a matrix using ethylene-vinyl acetate (EVA), a heat-processible and flexible mat...

Electron Beam Irradiation Applications

The irradiation of materials with electron beams or X rays is used extensively to enhance or modify their physical, chemical or biological properties. These electron beam “irradiators” cover a very wide range of accelerators technology, beam current and energies to produce a wide variety of products, mostly with polymers. They also are used for curing ink, coatings, and adhesives as well as for...

Rubber friction and tire dynamics.

We propose a simple rubber friction law, which can be used, for example, in models of tire (and vehicle) dynamics. The friction law is tested by comparing numerical results to the full rubber friction theory (Persson 2006 J. Phys.: Condens. Matter 18 7789). Good agreement is found between the two theories. We describe a two-dimensional (2D) tire model which combines the rubber friction model wi...
